Every person communicates differently. Say It Forward provides individualised, functional therapy for adults — in your home, your community, and via telehealth.
Communication & mealtime support for adults
Whether you're recovering from a stroke, living with a progressive neurological condition, or navigating the impacts of ageing — Say It Forward is here to help you communicate with confidence and eat safely and enjoyably.
Cognitive Communication
Think clearly. Connect meaningfully.
Optimised for people following stroke, traumatic brain injury, or living with dementia, MS, or Parkinson's disease.
Cognitive communication difficulties affect your ability to think, remember, plan, and communicate — often following acquired brain injury, stroke, or neurological conditions such as dementia or multiple sclerosis.
What we help with

- Memory and recall challenges
- Problem-solving and reasoning
- Social communication and conversation
- Organisation and planning in daily life
Aphasia
Find your words again.
Optimised for people with aphasia following stroke, brain tumour, or other acquired brain injury.
Aphasia is a language disorder that affects your ability to speak, understand, read, and write — most commonly following a stroke or brain injury. Having Aphasia does not mean you lose your intelligence.

- Reading and writing
- Conversation strategies and supported communication
- Partner and family communication training
Motor Speech
Speak with clarity and confidence.
Optimised for people with Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, motor neuron disease, stroke, or traumatic brain injury.
Motor speech disorders affect the physical coordination and movement needed to produce clear speech. Dysarthria and Apraxia of Speech are the two most common types in adults.
What we help with
- Improving speech clarity and intelligibility
- Breath support and voice projection
- Rate and rhythm of speech
- Strategies for when speech is difficult
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

Eat safely. Enjoy every meal.
Suitable for people with intellectual and cognitive disability, stroke and brain injury, Dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other progressive conditions.
Dysphagia (swallowing difficulty) can make eating and drinking unsafe, effortful and uncomfortable. Say It Forward provides comprehensive mealtime assessment and support — always with dignity and quality of life in mind.
What we help with
- Swallowing assessment and management
- Modified texture and fluid recommendations
- Mealtime positioning and environment
- Carer and family mealtime training
